Yoy Simulators takes part in the 2nd LBM Prevention and Careers Fair 2026
On October 7, virtual reality brought students at Liceo Bicentenario Minero Juan Pablo II closer to experiences tied to mining operations, connecting technology, education and technical training.
Aiming to connect technical and vocational training with the challenges of the industry, Yoy Simulators took part on October 7 in the 2nd LBM Prevention and Careers Fair 2026, organized by Liceo Bicentenario Minero Juan Pablo II.
During the event, students and visitors discovered new ways of learning through virtual reality, exploring an immersive experience based on operating a mining haul truck. It was a chance to bring the technology closer to younger generations and to show how digital tools can complement training linked to the mining sector.
The fair also featured technical demonstrations and hands-on learning spaces, underlining how important it is to prepare future professionals for a production environment that is increasingly technological and demanding.
Connecting education, technology and industry
Yoy Simulators' involvement in initiatives like this reflects the potential of immersive technologies to complement technical training, making it possible to explore operational situations in virtual environments and bring students closer to experiences related to their future field of work.
Virtual reality solutions make it possible to complement traditional training methods with interactive experiences that encourage participation and hands-on learning, especially in sectors where safety and operational readiness are essential.
The day was also an opportunity to meet representatives of the education community and organizations working on technical and vocational training, among them Fundación Collahuasi and SNA Educa.
We thank Liceo Bicentenario Minero Juan Pablo II, and especially Marcela and Fabiola Tapia Colque, head of the school's Mining Exploitation programme, and Claudia Armijo of Fundación Collahuasi, for helping create these meeting points between education, technology and industry.
At Yoy Simulators we continue to promote the use of immersive technologies to bring learning experiences to younger generations and help prepare those who will be part of the future of the mining industry.
